The daily hire charges include unlimited kilometers. All charges are calculated on a daily basis, not a twenty-four hour day. Vehicles are available at 8.00 am on the day you commence your hire and must be returned by 6.00 pm at termination unless prior arrangements are made. Please see Prices
Deposit and Payments
When you receive your confirmation, a deposit of 10% is required to secure the booking. The balance of monies owing to Wellhouse Leisure is required 28 days before hire commences. Cancellation fees apply.
Insurance
A compulsory insurance applies, which is included in the daily rates.
Bond
There is an excess of $1000NZD if over 25 years and $1500NZD if under 25 years. This is fully refundable on return of the vehicle to the agreed location on the agreed date, with no damage incurred to the vehicle or third party or property.
Refunds
Regretfully no refunds can be given for any unused portion of your holiday.
Fuel
All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the hire, and must be returned with a full tank at the end of your hire.
Drivers Requirements and Licence
All drivers must be 21 years of age or older and hold a current valid drivers licence, to be produced at the start of the hire. An international or country of origin licence is acceptable. No special licence is required to drive campervans in New Zealand.
Rental Duration
When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental, regardless of pick-up time. The day of the vehicle's return is counted as the final day of the rental. When a rental moves from one rate season into the next, the calculation is based on both rates.
Minimum rental period is 10 days. Special rates are available for rentals of more than 21 days. Details available on application. Late pick up or early return of vehicle does not entitle the hirer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental.
License
A full resident country drivers licence, held for at least one year, is to be presented at the time of rental. If the licence is not in English format, an international drivers licence is also required.
Age Restrictions
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over. A medical certificate stating that the customer is fit to drive the vehicle they have booked for the duration of the hire is required for drivers over the age of 75.
Personal And Company Cheques
Personal and Company cheques will not be accepted as payment for rentals at the time of pick-up. These must be paid to Affordable Campervan Hire 14 days prior to commencement of rentals. Personal or Company cheques are not acceptable as the vehicle security deposit.
Drop off Available
Auckland or Christchurch drop off available. The destination drop off must be agreed before the commencement of the hire.

Transferring a Booking
Once confirmed, will incur a NZ$25.00 fee unless it is within 30 days of travel when the above cancellation charges apply. A booking can only be transferred to a maximum of 6 months before or after the original date of travel.
Amendments
Amendments to increase the length of the booking can be made at no cost.
Amendments to decrease the booking will be charged at a minimum of NZ$25.00 provided the amendments occur at least 30 days prior to departure date. It is important to note that Wellhouse Leisure may at its discretion treat any amendment to decrease the booking as a cancellation
Driver responsibilities
We do our best to give you as much information as possible and to make your holiday one to remember and you can ask as many questions as you want before you come to New Zealand, however its your responsibility to look after our vehicle, where you park it, how you drive it, what roads you take it on. Insurance will not cover you for for things that are avoidable, if in doubt always ask.
